According to Moran et al. (2020, pp. 55-56), a DNP Project should: Encompass multiple aspects to the DNP Essentials. Be broadly practice based (health system, population, or policy). Are quality improvement, demonstration projects, clinical inquiry, or translation of EBP or program evaluation? Understand the needs of the stakeholders. Must contained evidence synthesis, leadership and measurement of outcomes. Project elements needed include planning, implementing and evaluation components. Focus on changes that impact healthcare outcomes though direct or indirect care with a system or population. Implementation of the project; demonstrates and appropriate area of practice, include evaluation of process and outcomes and include plan for sustainability. Contain rigor; systematic, logical and thorough approach in the design and implementation addressing a significant problem, include evaluating of appropriate metrics. Use of valid and reliable data collection and analyzing methods to facilitate project outcomes.
