Look at all the current gender events in North America from News organizations with relevant content may include the Globe & Mail, The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC News and The Conversation. And have to collect and pick one that most interests or the most influential. It must be relatable to Education, knowledge, epistemology, Movement history, Economics, Labour, Family in gender(feminist).
Then write a paper explaining:
What is the issue at hand? Who are the people involved?
How is this an example of injustice or justice?
If this is a local issue, how is it connected to womens rights/human rights concerns nationally and at a global level?
If this is an international issue, how is it connected to womens rights/human rights concerns in your local community?
What work is being done to address this issue? Is this work effective? What else could be done in this situation?
Intersectional analysis (think of how gender, race/ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, age, ability….shape peoples experiences with the issue you are discussing). Also keep in mind that using feminist analysis as a lens through which to read these events
